The Wireless Improvement Group Understanding Consumerisation Conference - Presentations & Literature Available on Request

The first Wireless Improvement Group Conference was held on the 20^th October at Chelsea Football Club. Industry experts presented on the key topics in consumerisation, including: security, cost models, contracts, support and management. The day was a huge success with an excellent turn out from both WIG members and non-WIG members. Attendees shared their experiences of Consumerisation within organisations spread across multiple industry sectors.

Consumerisation is currently one of the hottest topics in the telecoms industry. With the penetration of smart phones reaching phenomenal levels in the corporate sector the need for policies to reflect this growth is paramount. Research suggests that a lack of understanding on how to manage employees who bring their own devices into the work place is the main driver for the increased awareness and controversy surrounding consumerisation.

The Wireless Improvement Group (WIG) is located on the professional network LinkedIn. It is a community of wireless procurers, operational managers and users who have created a forum where they can support each other, seek help for issues, offer advice, share experiences and create a place for open discussion or simply alleviate frustrations.
